Answers for Associations announces new ownership as founder Belinda Moore steps back.

Answers for Associations has announced that the business will transition to new ownership on 1 July 2026, with Lindsay McGrath of the Think Outside Group acquiring the business as a going concern.

Founder Belinda Moore, who established Answers for Associations in 2017, has made the decision to step back from the business to focus on her health and her consulting work through Strategic Membership Solutions.

"This wasn't an easy decision, but it's the right one," said Ms Moore. "I've spent nearly a decade building Answers into something I'm proud of, and I wanted to make sure it went to someone who would take it forward with the same commitment to the sector. Lindsay has been a long term supporter and shares that commitment."

Mr McGrath, Managing Director of Think Outside Group, brings extensive experience in business and consulting and a deep understanding of the association sector.

"Answers for Associations has built something special for the sector, and I'm excited to build on that foundation," said Mr McGrath. "The events, the journal, the community - they all continue. And with Angela Shelton continuing as CEO, there's real continuity for our members, partners, and sponsors."

Angela Shelton, who has served as CEO of Answers for Associations since 2018, will continue in her role under the new ownership.

All existing events will continue as planned, including Associations Unleashed, the Association Leaders Retreat, the Association Leaders eXchange series, and Associations Evolve journal. All current partnerships and sponsorships will be honoured.

Strategic Membership Solutions will continue as a premium partner of Answers for Associations under a five-year partnership agreement, ensuring that the association sector continues to benefit from the AI advisory and consulting expertise that Belinda and Julian Moore bring to the community.

"I'm not disappearing," Ms Moore added. "SMS will still be involved with Answers as a partner, and I'll still be working in the sector. I'm just handing the keys to someone who can give the business the energy and attention it deserves."

The transition takes effect on 1 July 2026. All member subscriptions, event registrations, and partner commitments remain unaffected.
